Welcome to Room 213!

I apologize for not keeping up with this section of the website.  Happy New Year! (even though January is almost over).
We have a busy Catholic Schools Week beginning today.  Hopefully, you have received the email with the schedule of events or read it in Mr. Bowlin's newsletter.  Today we began the week with a Prayer Service and had our Monday Mingle.  Our class played games with Mr. F.'s class and a good time was had by all.  Tomorrow is "Pajama Day" with doughnuts and a motivational speaker.  Other events this week include reading to the preschool students, bowling, bingo, movie night, and of course, the beautiful Mass on Friday with Cotter, our priests and Bishop Quinn.  Please join us if you are able.

I will be working this week or next week on setting up our trip to St. Paul in May.  As soon as the date is decided upon, I will get it out to you.  We usually stay away from the week(s) of the spring music programs so it will probably fall mid-month. Speaking of dates, since Ash Wednesday falls on Valentine's Day this year, we will probably have the Valentine party on Tuesday, the 13th, instead.

Just a reminder- since it is still winter in MN, please help your child remember to bring warm clothes and boots for recess.
Also, conferences will be coming up in three weeks or so.  In 6th grade it is not necessary that we confer with everyone.  Usually, we do a teacher request or parent request meeting. Mrs. Ubl and I will be sending out more about that next week.

I would like to thank you in advance for any time, talent and treasures that you donate this week. We appreciate all of your support.  Please feel free to contact me with any concerns or questions you may have.

Warmly,
Mrs. Schauer
