Hello WACS Families!
My name is Kelley Skeels and I love teaching fourth grade. This is my sixth year teaching at St. Stan's.
I grew up in the Chicago area in a town called West Dundee. My parents, two older sisters and their husbands all live in West Dundee. I am a proud aunt to a nephew who turned four in June.
I moved to Winona in 2008 and attended Winona State University. I immediately fell in love with the beautiful surroundings and sense of community in Winona. During college I worked at a daycare in the preschool and school age program. I also worked at Cotter Residence Center as a Resident Assistant. I graduated in May 2012 and received my degree in Elementary Education with emphases in math and science.
I met my husband at Winona State freshman year. We got married October 2013. Mr. Skeels teaches fifth grade here at St. Stan's. Mr. Skeels is a Winona native and WACS and Cotter graduate.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with Mr. Skeels and our dog Riley. Riley is a happy-go-lucky border collie, german shepherd, and husky mix with two different color eyes (one brown and one blue). The three of us love going on the river, camping, and going hiking. Mr. Skeels and I also like to bike.
I am so grateful to have the opportunity to teach at St. Stan's. I am passionate about learning and sharing my excitement for learning with my students. In my classroom I strive to provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for children to learn and grow. St. Stan's is full of teachers who share their faith and love with everyone. It is a good place to be. I feel so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful faith filled community.
Please feel free to call me or email me anytime.
