Dear Families:
Welcome to the 2016/2017 school year. I have many exciting and new things planned for everyone and I am looking forward to getting to know my students and their families. There are a number items that I would like to share with you:
**The students are allowed in the classroom at 7:30am. When they arrive each morning they will need to put their “take home” folder in their mailbox. The number on their locker and table label will match their mailbox number. Their folder will be sent home on a daily basis, so please be sure to check it for any important information. Upon arrival, the students will also need to take care of their lunch and begin work on their "bell work" packet.
**We will begin our morning at 7:45am, so please have your child here accordingly so they can have their morning routine taken care of before announcements. If they will be late, absent or if their dismissal routine is changing please contact Mrs. Allen in the office. She will be sure to pass any information on to me.
**We love to celebrate birthdays as a class! Special treats are welcome, but please let me know ahead of time. If your child’s birthday is during the summer or on a no school day I will be sure to contact you to set up a date to celebrate! Please do not bring birthday invitations to school unless the whole class is invited. This will help us steer clear of any hurt feelings! 
** I ask that the children do not bring toys from home.  It tends to cause many conflicts between children throughout the day and I would hate to have items broken or lost because they are brought to school.  Each child will have a “Super Star” week where they can bring items from home to share with the class.
**Mass will take place on Fridays at 9:45am and typically lasts about an hour. Please be sure your child is dressed appropriately to attend. You are always welcome to join us and sit with the class. If you chose to sit in a different spot with your child please be sure to let me know.
**If you didn’t bring in all of your child’s supplies, please do so as soon as possible. The items are listed below:
*2 Boxes of 24 crayons (no larger)
*2 Boxes of plain yellow #2 pencils (Ticonderoga or Papermate -do not label)
*2 Highlighters - florescent yellow
*2 Pkgs of Wide Crayola Markers, Classic Colors (8 - 10)
*4 Large Clear (jumbo size) glue sticks
*2 Boxes of Kleenex - 200 count
*1 Scissors (Fiskars for kids)
*2 Spiral wide line notebooks
*1 Supply box, no handles (no larger than 9x6)
*2 packs of pencil top erasers - Mrs. Giaquinto’s class only
*2 Rolls of paper towels
*1 Backpack
*4 Plastic Coated Folders with pockets on bottom (not lengthwise)
*2 containers of disinfecting wipes
*1 pack of dry erase markers
*2 boxes of snacks - This will be ongoing throughout the year. Currently we have 17 children eating snack each day, so  
  please consider buying bulk
items. If a snack requires utensils, bowls or plates, please provide these as well.
*1 pencil case (long enough to hold new pencils)
*1 - change of clothes left in backpack
*1 - 4oz bottle of Elmer’s glue
*1 package wet wipes (refill will work)
